Ramada Grand View (North point)
I am one day away from finishing quarantine with my boyfriend at the Ramada Grand View (North point) hotel. Just wanted to share some of our experiences as this group has been so useful for us🙏🏽
🌟Food - After seeing some of the food available from the Ramada we were worried, but they’ve defiantly changed the food for the better, lots of rice, lots of sometimes indistinguishable starchy sauces but on the whole very edible and filling. Each meal was delivered to our door but so much plastic was used to hold these meals, I wish we could recycle it🤯. Of course we cheated a bit on weekends with the odd food pander delivery of a cheeky pizza or Mexican! Food panda was also great for our fresh fruit and vegetable cravings. We made sure we always had a well stocked fruit bowl and snacks for alllll the Netflix!
🌟The room - The suite was so good for having a physical wall between where you sleep and where you work, this is good for mindset. My boyfriend was working and I had coursework to do so weekdays flew. The view out of our window was of a hustling market street so plenty to see and lots of wishful thinking about that it would feel like to walk down the street finally! We had a tiny view of the sea in both directions and could even see the light show and normally a great sunset view! We rented a rowing machine as well, which helped give us a reason to work out.
🌟Overall, 21 days is a long time no one can denay that. But if you try to adopt a positive mindset and use the time to catch up with old friends and sort out your life admin and plan what you’re going to do when you finally get out you will be fine. I tried to do a excercise class every morning so at least if nothing else is achieved that day you’ve at least done one thing 😂. Time goes very fast it helped so much having someone here with me but if you’re alone reach out to friends as much as possible, especially on FaceTime😁😁
Anyway I could write a book about this but I won’t bore you any longer, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!
Stay healthy and happy all 🙏🏽
