I've been seeing everyone posting about their hotels and haven't seen mine yet so I thought I'd share the experience. I'm at Ovolo South Side (basically opposite l'hotel)

This is a "Mini queen room" 

The Good:

Bed is very comfortable

Amazon Alexa

Apple TV

Fridge

Yoga Mat

Resistance bands 

Chair

Really nice shower

My own plant to take care of

Lots of different lights and lamps for what mood you're in, and blackout blind.

 I'm very very happy the food comes in cardboard containers and they give you reusable cutlery so there's not a lot of plastic waste. Probably only the cups of drinks all come in plastic cups.

Staff are here 24/7 to help with any issues and are very friendly 🙂 

Food options ( I get sent a menu each day I can choose 4 options for dinner, lunch and breakfast. I can get coffee / tea with breakfast, then soft drinks at happy hour and a complimentary iced tea around lunch. Most dinners and lunches have an option for a side or dessert. There's also a happy hour drink for free: beer, wine, juice or soft drink and they include the daily snack)

The breakfasts: so far I have seen are: pancakes, banana peanut butter toast, croissants, chocolate oatmeal, scrambled egg with cheese and many more

Lunch/dinner : grilled cheese sandwiches, dai pai dong noodles, vegi / non veg burritos, pizzas, currys, grilled fish, salads, pumpkin ravioli, meatball pastas, lasagne & the list goes on


The Bad:

The room is not exceptionally huge, (not enough space to skip like I could in l'hotel)

I'm very close to the main road so it's quite noisy (especially in the morning, and the view isn't the greatest)

The air con is directly over the bed so it can get quite cold when laying in bed but you'll get hot elsewhere in the room but that's quite a minimal complaint.

Only 1 plug socket located on the opposite side of the room behind the TV so charging your phone in bed whilst using it isn't possible.

Completely new to HK.  DH works all day so a separate living/ working space was a non-negotiable for us. Just wanted to share some of our experiences as this group has been so useful for us🙏🏽 🌟Food - After seeing some of the food available from the Ramada we were worried, but they’ve defiantly changed the food for the better, lots of rice, lots of sometimes indistinguishable starchy sauces but on the whole very edible and filling. Each meal was delivered to our door but so much plastic was used to hold these meals, I wish we could recycle it🤯. Of course we cheated a bit on weekends with the odd food pander delivery of a cheeky pizza or Mexican! Food panda was also great for our fresh fruit and vegetable cravings.
